Cupboards lined with books filled with pages of love and wonder. I turn the wrinkle edges to unfold the truth played out word for word, as each letter carries a profound memory. Paragraphs bleed through my veins as a tree taking root in the forest. Sentences end like a storm in the night; flashes of lightning, thunder cries then you realize it’s over in an instant.
Just as the words pour endless emotion onto each page, my story hastily ends without you. Sentiments running rampant to make sense of it all, I relate to their erratically mastered temperament. My words have tormented your tangled heart. I placed a harsh reality to your broken ending.
Apologies only go so far in a sorrowful story. For this I can only offer one conclusion.. that our hearts disintegrate to dust, like the pages of generations before us.
